A young mother makes a trip to the local supermarket accompanied by her 4 year old son, Jayden. She drives her car into the car park and searches for a space, once she has pulled into the parking space she gets out of the car and slams the door. The mum then walks around the car and says to Jayden ‘do not move I will only be a few minutes’. The young mother walks off towards the supermarket entrance, as she approaches she turns slightly and points the car keys at the car to lock the door. Now Jayden is alone in a locked car, stationed in a supermarket car park, bored. a couple of minutes go by and Jayden is sitting in the car looking around for something to do. He leans forward in his seat and starts to play with the radio. Jayden presses all of the buttons on the radio until he gets bored and leans back in his chair and continues to look around the car. Jayden notices the window of the car and leans towards it to breathe on it causing it to steam up. He concentrates hard as he draws a smiley face into the steam until something catches his attention. An elderly woman walks passed the front of the car. Jayden looks up and focuses his attention on her handbag. The elderly woman’s scarf that was hanging out of her bag drops to the floor subtly. The boy after a moment of hesitation sharply turns in his seat to unlock the car door from the inside. He climbs out of the door and runs across the busy car park towards the scarf and picks it up off the floor. Jayden observes the scarf for a couple of seconds whilst running it through his fingers. Just as Jayden looks up at the elderly woman as she enters into a small shiny room. The doors close and the woman disappears from his view. The young boy is very confused by where the lady had gone and decided to wait outside the doors for her return. A few seconds later the door slide open and out walks an attractive young lady. Jayden looks up as the young girl walks passed him. Confused of how this transformation happened he looks around to see if anyone is looking and then runs up and presses the button to the side of the lift and watches the doors as they open casting a bright light upon his face. He takes a deep breath and steps into the lift. A child from round the corner watches as Jayden enters into the lift. He looks up towards his mum who is in deep conversation with a friend tugging her arm for attention but being ignored. Jayden watches as the doors close and he is entrapped in a small claustrophobic lift. The lift vibrates and groans as it goes up to the floor above and the child starts to panic. He looks around the lift confused and scared. He begins to breathe heavily as the noises get louder and the lift begins to vibrate more veraciously. Suddenly the noises and movement of the lift stop and the doors slide open at the sound of a ding. The boy looks up at the doors and steps out of the lift onto the top of the empty car park. He looks around as the doors to the lift close behind him. Jayden steps forward a couple of paces and looks up towards the dark and gloomy sky.
The young mother is rushing around the supermarket, quickly picking up items for her shopping. She then leaves the shop and approaches her car. As she arrives she notices that the Jayden is missing and the car door has been left open. She sharply turns and looks around the car park for her son. She glances over at the elevator and focuses her eyes. Jayden is standing at the bottom of the elevator outside of the door staring over at her. The two mother and son exchange looks as the film ends.
